Stephanie has been with VHNW since 2005 working as Receptionist and then promoted to Operations Manager. She has 2 sons as well as 1 dog and 2 cats. She is our go to “tech support” staff member as one of her hobbies is working on computers. Her knowledge of computer hardware/software, and problem solving as well as her professional relationship with clients makes her a valuable part of our team.
Nancy joined the Veterinary Hospital of New Waverly family in November 2018. She has been in Veterinary Customer Care positions since 1999. Nancy is our customer service rep team leader. She left Veterinary Medicine for a brief time and worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, but always knew that she would go back to her passion of working with animals. Nancy lives in Willis, Texas with her husband Scott, her daughter Audrie, and their 3 poodles - Cottonball, Springer, and Tanner. Nancy spends her free time supporting her daughters extra curricular activities.
Kelly joined the VHNW team in April of 2022 with 12 years of experience in the veterinary field. She and her husband Nate share their home with 2 Border Collies named Jaxson and Astro, as well as a black cat named Luna. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
Mindy joined the VHNW team in August of 2022 with 8 years of experience in the veterinary field. She has been married to her husband Troy since 1996 and has 1 daughter and 1 son along with 5 dogs and 1 cat. Mindy's hobbies include pet sitting, shopping and she loves to travel and spend time with family.
Gigi is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) graduating from Vet Tech Institute of Houston in 2015 with an A.S. in Animal Science, and she has been a VHNW team member since April 2015. Gigi is our team leader small animal technician, and is responsible for overseeing and leading our small animal care staff members. She started as an extern and was shortly offered a team position. She is bilingual, which is an important asset to our VHNW family. She has a special interest in taking care of the ill pet. She is a proud animal mom of 6 dogs and 2 cats and loves escaping to the movies and the beach.
Britni is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) graduating from Lonestar Veterinary Technology Program in 2006 and has been a VHNW team member since April 2011. Britni is our team leader equine technician and is a member of the American Association of Equine Veterinary Technicians (AAEVT) but has brought a variety of experience with her having come from a feline only practice for many years. She is our primary equine and secondary small animal dental technician.
Her versatility with animals big and small have made her very valuable to us. She is married to Ocie and has 2 great danes and 1 cat. Outside of her full-time job with VHNW, she enjoys classic car shows, camping, drag races and spending time with family and friends.
Melissa is a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA ll) through TVMA and has been with VHNW since December of 2007. She is a member of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians and is a Certified Dental Technician which supports her passion for pets and their teeth.
Melissa is married to Vince and has 2 boys, Chance and Ryan. She is also the proud owner of 4 boxers. When she has time away from the clinic she enjoys escaping to the beach, gardening and reading. She is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Kay has been back with us since June 2019 when she moved back to town. She manages the kennel staff amongst other various roles (we call her the "floater" since she's good with it all). She often does the Technician appointments and generally helps in whatever areas are needed throughout the day. Kay shares her home with her 2 birds and 2 dogs and enjoys crafts, woodworking, and building things in her free time.
Dominick has been with VHNW since February of 2022. He is finishing up 2 B.S. degrees in Biomedical Science and Animal Science at Sam Houston, and he is awaiting admission into vet school. Dom's hobbies include furthering his knowledge of veterinary medicine and spending time outdoors. He and his wife Caroline have a rescue for cats and a chihuahua named Sanchez.
Caroline joined our clinic in February of 2022 as a veterinary technician. She received a B.S. in Animal Science from Sam Houston in 2020 and is currently working on her L.V.T. program from Dallas Community College. In her free time, Caroline enjoys calligraphy, working out, and spending time with her husband, Dominick.
Alyssa joined the VHNW team in May 2020 as a kennel technician. She began working as one of our small animal veterinary technicians in January 2022. She is currently attending Cedar Valley Dallas College to obtain her L.V.T. and Associates of Animal Science. She is Fear Free Certified and specializes in reducing anxiety during animal restraint. Alyssa and her husband William have 2 kids, and their family has 2 dogs and 1 cat. When she isn't busy being a mom and wife, she enjoys watching movies, hunting, and monster jam.
Haley joined the VHNW team in 2015 as a Kennel Technician while still in high school. She has worked off and on as a Technician Assistant, Receptionist, and Assistant Office Manager. Haley has obtained a B.S. of Psychology at Texas A&M University and is finishing up her prerequisites for medical school. She and her boyfriend Devon are the parents of a little girl and a cat named Bella. When she has extra time it usually gets filled with reading, video editing, and spending time with family and friends.
MaClaye joined the clinic in September of 2021. She is currently awaiting admission into vet school. MaClaye's hobbies include floating the river, spending time with family & friends, and traveling. She has a furry Pomeranian named Josie.
Faith became part of our team in December of 2022 as a veterinary technician. As a tech, her interests lie in patient critical care and diagnostic imaging, and she is certified in recovery. In the future, Faith wants to attend a L.V.T. program to become licensed. She and her husband Noah have 4 dogs and 3 snakes, and Faith has frequently raised service dogs for disabled veterans. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, western pleasure, and public speaking.
Madison became a member of the VHNW in January 2022. She is currently a student at Sam Houston working towards her Animal Science degree with a focus on pre-vet. Madison eventually wants to be a veterinarian and own her own clinic. Her animal family members a Cocker Spaniel named Daisy and a cat named Tiger. When Madison has free time on her hands she enjoys spending time with friends, working out, and taking her dog to the dog park.
Tabitha joined the VHNW team in August 2020. As our Kennel Technician, she specializes in organization and maintaining the cleanliness of our clinic along with caring for the basic needs of any pets we have in our care. She is the proud mom of 2 dogs and 1 cat. In her free time, Tabitha enjoys baking, appreciating nature, and spending time with her friends and family.
Alexis became a member of the VHNW in May of 2022 as a kennel technician. She is currently working towards a B.S. degree from Lonestar College and plans to attend a dental hygienist program in the future. Alexis' hobbies include working out, cleaning, and reading, and she shares her home with a failed foster kitten named Jax.
